My aim here was to build the most beautiful electric guitar ever made. The body is hollow and made from Copper sheet which makes it lighter than a wooden model. I hand tooled the Paisley and Vine design into the top of the body using a hammer and a variety of steel and wooden tools. The body has then been patinaed and lacquered.
The Neck is made from stunning Curly Maple with a Maple Fingerboard, giving contrast to the copper body. The Headstock design is a tribute to Paul Bigsby who along with Merl Travis built in 1948 one of the first electric guitars featuring a 6 aside Headstock. ( Bigsby is most famous for designing the Bigsby tremolo tailpiece.)
The pickups are made by Seymour Duncan, a early pioneer of rewinding and experimenting with electric pickups. The pickups in this guitar are his Antiquity models. Authentic 60’s reproduction fitted with Alnico 5 magnets for more power and twang to the sound.
